Combat Scales and Markers
Combat Scales and Markers keep track of the morale status and missiles hits of a Command Group, besides indicating which command a Command Group belongs to. They can be downloaded here. |
General and Commander Flats
This is a selection of generals and commanders, each which consists of a 2-sided flat, one side with a green background behind the numbers to indicate the general/commander is unwounded, the other side with an orange background behind the numbers to indicate he is wounded. These generals and commanders have fairly low ratings, nothing above 3. More capable generals and commanders will be added as the army lists are developed (with your help I hope!) They can be downloaded here. |
Order Slips, Commander Tiles and Order Counters
Order Slips are used to determine which battlefield squares the Commanders will be commanded to advance to. They are covered by Commander tiles to hide them from your opponent and mark which Commander they belong to. An order counter indicates that the Commander has orders and, when he carries them out, which direction he must advance in. They can be downloaded here. |
Turn Sequence Mat and Marker
Turns in Optio consist of normal movement followed by rout movement of routed Command Groups. At the end of each turn there is either reordering of disordered Command Groups or melee combat, indicated by the Turn Marker which is flipped over at the beginning of teach turn. Mat and Marker can be downloaded here. |
Operational Terrain Map
The Operational Terrain map is used to determine terrain for a battle. Two counters, representing the armies, move over the terrain squares until they meet in the same square, which is used to place hills, forests, rivers, streams, etc. See the Optio Ruleset for details on how to use the Terrain Map. The Terrain map for cultivated i.e. arable and settled terrain can be downloaded here. |
